About Seafarer
Seafarer was founded to address a problem that shows up across nearly every accounting team: critical processes are often held together by manual work, fragile spreadsheets, and siloed knowledge that lives with a single person—creating risk when teams need to scale, transition ownership, or hand off responsibilities. These same processes are often supported by repetitive tasks that consume time and introduce unnecessary operational risk.
While accounting environments vary widely in size and complexity, the underlying challenge is consistent systems rarely fit together cleanly, and off-the-shelf tools often stop short of addressing the real operational details.
Seafarer focuses on designing and building automation solutions that work within the reality of existing accounting systems and workflows. Rather than forcing teams to adapt their processes to generic software, we tailor automation to the way the work is already done, improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability without unnecessary disruption.
Our work ranges from targeted Excel and VBA automations to custom internal applications ranging from purely algorithmic tools to agentic AI systems that can adapt to complex, variable environments.
